Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 PM, 2 years, 11 months, and 26 days after I arrived in St Andrews, I finally submitted my thesis. It was approximately 30,001 words and was around 300 pages. It is such a relief.
Here I am posing with the draft I handed in.
The next step is a viva, where I sit in a room with two examiners and answer questions about what I wrote. They can pass you or fail you... I don't think many people fail, but it is still pretty nerve racking!
Then after a few corrections, I will be done. I will keep you posted. My viva is on Oct. 20th, so start getting nervous for me!

Amy!!! I just cannot believe it!!! All I can think of right now is the moment you, your mom and dad walking upstairs in my Mom and Dad's home back in 1998 when you came to live in California to play ball and now look, you are getting a Phd, ten years later. You have always been amazing. AMAZING. Oh and you look so beautiful in that picture with your baby (thesis). KUDOS Fuller!
Holy cow that is HUGE. You are amazing. That must have taken forever. When do you graduate?
What a HUGE accomplishment! I am blown away! Way to go!!!
